About the Sligo Festival of Baroque Music
Currently the Festival is managed by a committee. We are very conscious of, and grateful for the support, assistance and encouragement given to the festival by a large number of individuals, organisations and institutions.
We would welcome any comment on any aspect of the festival, and would be extremely grateful for all support offered – financial or otherwise.
Sligo Festival of Baroque Music is currently managed by a voluntary committee with Rod Alston as Artistic Director. The festival receives financial support from The Arts Council, Sligo Arts Service, and Failte Ireland, as well as sponsorship and donations from businesses, organisations and individuals. The Model gives invaluable support both as a venue and booking facilities; OSD has made this website possible.
The committee meets regularly throughout the year. A great deal of the practical work is done on a voluntary basis by committee members and those who value the festival. Suggestions and criticisms go towards our endeavours to improve the event; and we are, of course, encouraged by thanks and praise!
Our aim is to present a weekend feast of baroque music that will be memorable, illuminating and enriching…
